ThinkWell Privacy Policy

ThinkWell is a private, offline AI companion that runs language models entirely on your device. This Privacy Policy explains how ThinkWell and SeMo Lab handle information when you use the app. In short: your data stays on your device.

Information We Collect

ThinkWell does not collect personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking or telemetry. Your conversations, settings, and optional long-term memory are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party.

On-Device Processing

All AI inference runs locally on your device. The prompts you write and the conversations you have with the model are processed entirely offline and never leave your phone.

Network Use

The only time ThinkWell uses the network is to download AI models that you explicitly choose from the in-app catalog, fetched from their public model repositories. No models are bundled in the app, and chatting with a downloaded model is fully offline. ThinkWell does not send your conversations, prompts, or usage data anywhere.

Device Permissions

ThinkWell requests only the permissions it needs: Internet, used solely to download the models you select, and Microphone, used only when you choose to provide voice or audio input to a speech-capable model. ThinkWell does not access your location, contacts, or other sensitive data.

Data Storage & Backup

Conversations, preferences, and memory are saved in the app's private storage on your device. Any backup or export is initiated by you and produces a local file that you choose whether and where to share. You can delete your conversations and data from within the app at any time.

Children's Privacy

ThinkWell does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because the app stores data only on the device and collects nothing itself, no personal information is transmitted to us.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
