RiseWell Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
RiseWell is a puzzle-based alarm clock that runs entirely on your device. It has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics — and unlike most apps, it makes no network requests at all. This policy explains what that means for your data.
What We Collect
Nothing.
RiseWell has no sign-up or sign-in, no servers that receive your information, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no tracking identifiers of any kind. SeMo Lab never sees your alarms, your flash cards, or your wake-up statistics — there is no system on our side that could receive them.
Network Connections
None. RiseWell works fully offline: it fetches nothing, checks for no updates, and sends nothing, ever. All alarm sounds and artwork ship inside the app. (Like most Android apps it technically declares the internet permission, but no part of RiseWell uses the network.)
Data Stored on Your Device
Three things are saved, all in the app's private storage on your phone: your alarms (times, schedules, sounds, challenge settings, and any label you type), your flash cards (the questions and answers you write for the quiz challenge), and your wake-up statistics — which keep only a rolling 30 days of history before older entries are deleted automatically.
Nothing is uploaded, synced, or backed up anywhere: RiseWell has no export or cloud feature, and its data is excluded from Android's device backup. One small thing worth knowing: an alarm's label appears in its notification, including on the lock screen, so anyone looking at your locked phone when the alarm fires can read it.
Permissions
RiseWell requests what an alarm clock needs to wake you reliably: exact alarms, notifications (shown over the lock screen), vibration, restarting after a reboot, and a foreground service so the alarm keeps ringing until you dismiss it.
The heart-rate wake-up challenge asks for camera permission. In the current version, no camera image is ever captured, stored, or transmitted — the on-screen reading is a simulation, nothing is recorded, and the measurement is discarded when you leave the screen. RiseWell requests no location, microphone, contacts, or file access.
Children and Minors
RiseWell collects no personal data from anyone, of any age, and therefore collects none from minors. The app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no user-to-user communication.
Because no information ever reaches SeMo Lab, there is nothing for a parent or guardian to request the deletion of. If you have any concern about a minor's use of the app, contact us at info@semo-lab.com.
Your Rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, and delete the personal data a company holds about you. SeMo Lab holds no personal data about RiseWell users, so there is nothing for us to retrieve, amend, or erase. We do not sell or share personal information, because we never receive any.
You keep full control of the data on your device: delete any alarm or flash card in the app (wake statistics trim themselves after 30 days), or uninstall the app to erase everything at once. There is no cloud copy to clean up afterwards.
Changes to This Policy
If RiseWell's privacy practices ever change, this page will be updated and the date above revised. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly amended.
